The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration (OVCA) was created on February 26, 1977 thru a Board of Regents resolution passed during its 883rd Meeting. It was reorganized twice – on March 3, 1987 and October 23, 1997. Like all the other offices of the vice chancellors in UPLB, OVCA is directly under the Office of the Chancellor.

The OVCA is headed by a Vice Chancellor who is appointed by the Board of Regents upon the nomination of the Chancellor and the recommendation of the President of the UP System. The Vice Chancellor serves at the pleasure of the Chancellor (EO No. 3 of Pres. E.J. Angara dated 3 March 1987).

Dr. Crisanto A. Dorado is currently the Vice-Chancellor for Administration.
